Jing Wan Hong

One of China’s major herbal medicines for burns which used for serious third degree burns in hospitals. It is recommended as a topical first aid for first and second degree burns. It reduces the blistering and pain of a burn, promotes tissue regeneration, and prevents scarring.

Herbal Formula:
Menthol 1%, Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis) root, mastic (Pistacia Lentiscus L.) resin, myrrh leo-gum resin, quince (Chaenomeles spp.) fruit, safflower flower, sanguisorba (Sanguisorba officinalis L.) root, sesame oil, beeswax

Suggested Usage:
1. Apply ointment directly into the affected area after it has been thoroughly cleaned. The area may be covered with gauze to further reduce possibility of infection and irritation. Change gauze daily. May stain clothing. Burns should be covered to protect the ointment from being wiped off.
2. For serious burns, the ointment is put on, covered with gauze, and then wiped off with dead skin every 24 hours, until healing is complete.
